Reviews and Ratings
I stayed here for two nights during my road trip, and while the location was perfect and the staff were welcoming, the cleanliness was severely lacking, which really affected my experience. The motel has a charming local feel and is close to all the battlefield sites, but the room conditions were concerning. I wouldn't recommend it personally due to these issues, despite the great location.
Colton is a solid choice for anyone looking for an affordable stay in Gettysburg. It’s conveniently located within walking distance of downtown, restaurants, and historical sites. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. While it may lack the luxury of higher-end hotels, the friendly staff and great value for money make it worthwhile. However, those seeking upscale amenities or a more modern vibe might find it lacking.
We've been staying here for Labor Day weekend for three years now, and it never disappoints! The location is superb, right by the cemetery and where ghost tours pass by, adding to the atmosphere. The rooms are clean and friendly service is always around. However, the fridge was too small for our group, and there were no microwaves, which made late-night snacks a challenge. Overall, we had an amazing time and plan to return next year!
My stay at this motel was quite frustrating. The location was great, right in the heart of Gettysburg and close to all the sites, which I appreciated. However, the cleanliness of the room was severely lacking, and the overall condition of the place left much to be desired. While the staff were nice, this did not compensate for the discomfort during my stay. I felt I paid too much for such a low level of cleanliness and amenities.
My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The cleanliness was a major issue; the room was filthy, with visible dirt and unpleasant odors. Despite a decent central location near attractions, the state of the facilities overshadowed any positives. While the staff tried to help, the overall experience felt neglected and unsatisfactory for the price paid.
The hotel offers decent accommodations at a low price, and it was clean throughout our stay. We appreciated being in a quieter part of the hotel, but the outdated rooms and limited breakfast options left much to be desired. Overall, it’s a good budget choice for a night or two but not ideal for longer stays due to the lack of modern amenities.
I enjoyed my stay at this motel, especially for its unbeatable location right in the heart of downtown Gettysburg. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed, making it a great value for the price. While the bathroom was basic, it served its purpose. However, the limited breakfast options were a bit disappointing. Overall, it was a nice and convenient choice for exploring the area, but be prepared for some quirks.
I’ve been coming to this hotel for years, and it never fails to give me a great experience. The rooms are straightforward and clean, and the convenience of the location can't be beat. It’s really budget-friendly which I appreciate, though amenities like breakfast and microwaves would have improved the stay. Overall, it’s a cozy option if you’re looking to explore the area without breaking the bank.
My stay was quite disappointing overall. The room was in terrible condition, with wet and dirty carpets that made it hard to relax. The location is decent, being close to attractions, but the service was lacking, especially in terms of cleanliness and responsiveness. While the beds were comfortable, I wouldn't call this stay good value for money given the numerous issues.
The hotel is in a central location that's very convenient for exploring the area, which I appreciate. However, the condition of the rooms leaves a lot to be desired, as they really need significant updates and cleaning. While I find the value for money decent, the cleanliness and comfort were major downsides during my stay.
I found the hotel to be decent for a short stay. We appreciated the quietness of our room at the back, which kept away the road noise. The rooms felt outdated and lacked some amenities, but they were clean and had all the basics. The breakfast wasn't great, but overall, it's a reasonable choice for a night or two on a budget. It might not be ideal for a longer stay, though.
My stay was incredibly disappointing. The rooms were filthy, with a lack of basic cleanliness and broken amenities. I had to deal with bugs, terrible odors, and an overall neglected feel to the place. The location did have potential, but the state of the hotel made it hard to appreciate. I wouldn't recommend staying here due to the lack of cleanliness and maintenance.
My stay here had its ups and downs. The motel was affordable and in a prime location, just a walk away from lots of sights. However, the cleanliness really was a letdown, and the room was freezing with no proper blankets. Overall, it was a cheap option, but the state of the room made it hard to be fully satisfied.
